Transgender Menopause

There is still a huge lack of support and information for LGBTQIA+ people experiencing the menopause.

The majority of LGBTQIA+ people experiencing the menopause are cisgender women, although it is also experienced by transgender men and non-binary people.

Our team at The Menopause Management are here to provide support in a collaborative and inclusive platform to everyone going through the menopause.

We have undertaken training with Pink Therapy.

Pink Therapy is an organisation aim to promote high quality therapy and training services for people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender and others who identify as being gender or sexual diversities.

For those that may have been assigned female sex at birth and have transitioned into men, you may experience the menopause, which we understand can be traumatic.

Transgender women, women who may have been assigned male sex at birth, are prescribed oestrogen, androgen blockers and sometimes a progestogen to assist in medical transition.

Menopause is framed around the experiences of cisgender women, for whom menopause is a response to reduced ovary functions, but transgender women can experience symptoms of menopause as well as PMS.

We are here at The Menopause Management to support you.
